Miquel Videla, coordinator of Traumatology-Emergencies and the COT Service of the CSI, has organized this 1st Session of Orthogeriatrics, focused on comprehensive care for the fragile patient with fracture of the proximal femur.

A conference with a multidisciplinary approach to this episode of proximal femur fracture is presented, because it is beneficial for the patient, and it is also a vision of the future.

The Orthogeriatrics Multidisciplinary Unit is made up of orthopedic surgeons, internists, geriatricians, nurses, rehabilitators, social workers, nutritionists and other health and para-health professionals.

The objective of the day is to present the current reality since the opening of the Hospital five years ago and to be able to discuss options for improvement and to encourage ways of collaboration in the continuity of care.
