About the Observatory

The Sagrada Família Primary Care Center (CAP) has an area of almost 3.000 square meters and serves a population of more than 52.000 inhabitants.

The center was inaugurated in October 2003 and brings together the basic health areas (ABS) Gaudí and Sagrada Família, in Barcelona's Eixample. The ABS is the elementary territorial unit through which primary health care services are organized.

With the aim of offering continuity of quality care to users, the CAP Sagrada Família has been part of a new healthcare facility since 2010: the Dos de Maig Integral Care Center.

The CAP Sagrada Família is a center attached to the Teaching Unit of the Association of Associative Base Entities (ACEBA), through the ABS Sagrada Família, which is an accredited ABS for the training of resident internal medicine doctors (MIR) and internal resident nurses (IIR) in Family and Community Medicine.
