The birthing rooms or cabins are equipped with obstetric tables (which allow different positions that adapt to the needs of the midwives at any given time), Bobath balls, a special rocker and different chairs for natural childbirth assistance. Since 2010, Hospital General de l'Hospitalet has been accredited by the Department of Health as a center of reference for natural assistance in normal childbirth.
The lactation room is a space designed for mothers to breastfeed their babies in comfort. The room has chairs, cushions, slings and a fridge, in case it is necessary to express and store milk.
The rooms designed to accommodate women who have just given birth at Hospital General de l'Hospitalet are for individual use, with a level of privacy and comfort for mothers and their families. Each one has an assisted individual bathroom.
It is the area of care for women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
