The Charter of Rights and Duties of Citizens in relation to health and health care includes nearly a hundred rights and duties structured in ten major areas: equity and non-discrimination of people; protection and promotion of health and prevention of disease; access to the healthcare system; privacy and confidentiality; autonomy and decision-making; health information, clinical documentation and information and communication technologies; system quality and security; genetic constitution of the person; research and experimentation and participation.
