The Consortium's volunteer actions have grown to reach 4.392 in 2014.

During the last four years, the Consorci Sanitari Integral has doubled its volunteer actions within the field of hospital assistance in its centers. In 2011, a total of 2.159 actions were carried out, which have grown to 4.392 actions in 2014.

In addition to the actions in the hospital field, actions are also carried out in the field of primary care and in their residences. The number of users with whom the volunteers have collaborated has also increased significantly in recent years, from the 558 people served in 2011, to a total of 1.078 users in 2014.

The Consortium's volunteering program promotes emotional support and accompaniment for patients and families, ensures the improvement of their well-being during their stay in the centers and contributes to the humanization of care, while promoting a relationship based on solidarity and fosters a positive relational climate.

The associations that regularly collaborate with the Consortium in the volunteering program are: Red Cross, Spanish Association Against Cancer and Maria Auxiliadora. Other entities that also participate in the program are Volunteers of Hospitalet, Pastoral de la Salut and others.
