The Collblanc Residence has completed a comprehensive renovation project of its air conditioning and ventilation facilities, an improvement of comfort and also from sustainabilityThe work, which was carried out throughout 2024 in six phases, has allowed the replacement of obsolete infrastructure with a new, much more efficient installation, with a positive impact on both theenergy efficiency as in the economy of the center.
The intervention has involved the replacement of the old chiller and boiler, with an investment of more than 1 million euros and, according to the Department of Infrastructure, the electricity and natural gas consumption data already show a significant reduction of energy expenditure.
The new air conditioning has generated a saving of 2,5% in electricity compared to 2023 and 17% compared to 2022. Regarding natural gas consumption, the reduction has been 13% compared to 2023 and 8% compared to 2022. In economic terms, this saving represents more than 17.000 euros compared to 2022 and 6.700 euros compared to 2023, just in energy consumption. Added to this is the increase in thermal comfort and the improvement of the thermal power available to users and professionals of the center.
A collective effort to guarantee continuity of care
The execution of this work has required complex planning in six phases. Each phase has affected a different floor of the residence. Despite the inconveniences arising from the transfers and temporary relocation of spaces, the activity care has been maintained at all times and care for residents has been guaranteed and with compliance with the commitments established with the Department of Social Rights.
This project not only represents an improvement in infrastructure, but also reflects the commitment of the Consorci Sanitari Integral to the sustainability and well-being of users and professionals. Thanks to the collaboration of all the teams involved, the Collblanc Residence now has a modern, efficient and environmentally friendly air conditioning system.
