The communication entitled Skin and mucosal rash syndrome induced by mycoplasma pneumoniae, whose authors are Montserrat Hernández and Patricia Suero, has received the award for the best clinical case presented by a pediatrician at the XX Congress of Updates in Pediatrics 2024, held last March.
The work collects a clinical case of a skin and mucosal rash syndrome induced by mycoplasma pneumoniae (MIRM syndrome, Mycoplasma Induced Rash and Mucositis) and it is a clinical entity described for the first time in 2015. It is a clinical case in which a child has extensive involvement of the mucous membranes and pneumonia compatible with atypical pneumonia. In the serology it was confirmed as mycoplasma penumoniae.
