Poster presented at the international congress of Fragility in Toulouse

In July, we will move on to final evaluations of each supplier to decide which two solutions move to the third phase, in which we will move on to proof-of-concept at the buyers' sites (including CSI facilities).

At the beginning of May, the four suppliers who are in phase 2 of the project (prototype development) presented the latest evolutions of their solutions, where they collected all the improvements and proposals that the four contracting companies have been making during the last months and especially at the face-to-face session that took place in Aachen (Germany), last March 28.

In the presentations, it was not only possible to see the different solutions, but also discussed topics such as the preparation of the field study, which will be carried out in the autumn, or the future commercialization model.

The solutions present different approaches for the same casuistry. Some opt for small devices w (electronic devices that are used in the human body and that interact with other devices to transmit or collect some type of data) such as watches with video calls and others by sensors distributed around the house.

After these presentations it will move to the final evaluations of each supplier to decide which two solutions go to the third phase, in which the concept tests will be carried out at the buyers' sites (including the CSI facilities) .

The dissemination of the project in professional spaces is one of the tasks that the team that is part of the eCare project must develop. Thus, Marta Cárdenas, specialist in family and community medicine at CAP Sagrada Família and one of the project managers at the CSI, participated in theInternational Conference on Frailty and Sarcopenia Research ICFSR 2023 (Toulouse, Francewhile presenting the eCARE project in poster format.

As a novelty, an audio explanation of the poster was enabled through a QR code to energize the display of the poster and for greater dissemination of the project. In addition, the abstract of the project and the summaries of the ICFSR meetings will be published in the Journal of Frailty&Aging (JFA), version online all over the world.

The European eCare project, within the Horizon 2020 framework program and designed to prevent frailty in the elderly, aims to find a technological tool that prevents loneliness and isolation in the elderly and promotes their quality of life , independence and well-being.
