During today'sCatalan Association of Hepatitis Patients (ASSCAT) has an information table, between 9 and 13.30 hours, in the lobby of theSant Joan Despí Moisès Broggi Hospital. From this table, ASSCAT volunteers inform all users who wish to do so about hepatitis and this association.
ASSCAT is a non-governmental community organization based in Barcelona that works to inform about hepatitis and related issues, in addition to supporting the patient in all areas of experience of their disease, as well as their relatives.
One of its fundamental objectives is to inform and educate about the advances in the development of new drugs to treat viral hepatitis. These information days are part of its Public Information and Awareness Campaign, with the aim of offering oral and printed information to all the citizens who visit them.
Volunteers hand out free of charge the Guide for Family, Caregivers and Friends of Hepatitis C Patients of the ASSCAT.
