About the Observatory

The medical specialty of Endocrinology and Nutrition at Hospital Dos de Maig in Barcelona offers specialized medical care to the adult population in five basic health areas of the Integral Health Area of ​​Barcelona Dreta.

Its mission is to provide individualized and comprehensive care based on scientific evidence of excellence. Its assistance activity is focused on the attention of people at External Consultations, the Evidence Office and the Day Hospital.

However, it provides diagnostic and specialized support to the hospitalization units, the Emergency Department, the Day Hospital and the Comprehensive Complexity Support Team (ESIC) of the hospital.

It also participates in a proactive and synergistic way with the specialized care consultancies for the primary care doctors of the corresponding teams of our reference population.

This is a joint service with the Hospital de Sant Pau, since January 2019.
