The Hospital Sociosanitari de l'Hospitalet opened its doors in 2000 and attends to the social and health needs of the elderly and people with disabilities, in order to improve their quality of life, facilitate social reintegration and adapt the expectations of patients and their families.
The building occupied by the Hospital was built on land annexed to the Hospital General de l'Hospitalet, with a total area of 5.000 square meters. It is a center that belongs to the Integral Health System for public use of Catalonia (SISCAT) and is a provider center of the Catalan Health Service.
For organizational and management purposes, the Hospital General de l'Hospitalet, the Hospital Sociosanitari de l'Hospitalet and the Hospital de Sant Joan Despí function as a single center, the Complex Hospitalari Universitari Moisès Broggi
