II Conferences on prevention and care of the foot in the diabetic patient

During the two days that the Conference will last, the epidemiology of the diabetic foot, the units in the environment, the health expenditure it causes and how to manage it will be discussed. It will also be discussed in round tables how to improve the management of the treatment of the diabetic foot and the competences of the members of the multidisciplinary units.

Prevention will be present in a relevant way: the program presents a space to learn about the work that is done from primary care, how the different agents act and how to improve prevention, with ideas for an effective circuit.

Topics such as initial management, pain and ulceration, care and footwear, complications, rehabilitation and surgery will also be covered and borderline situations will be addressed. It highlights, at the same time, a space to emphasize the importance of communication between the members of the multidisciplinary team.
