The surgical facilities have been renovated.
After the scheduled maintenance tasks that were carried out during the Christmas period, today January 16 all activity resumes in the Central Surgical Block of Hospital General de l'Hospitalet. This means that the 8 central operating rooms and the 2 peripheral ones are operational, which will allow us to make an average of 280 interventions weekly of all surgical specialties, that is to say, uns 11.300 surgical interventions per year.
In June 2022 they are gone resume interventions with admission to the center, suspended since the summer of 2019, and since then almost 400 admitted patients have been treated. During the year 2023, interventions, with or without admission, will continue to increase, intervening among others total knee prostheses, cholecystectomies, prostatectomies, breast neoplasms, varicose veins and gynecological surgery.
In this way, we continue to advance in our commitment to offer quality health care close to the population of Hospitalet de Llobregat, as we have always done.
