Sant Joan Despí Moisès Broggi Hospital, Hospital General de l'Hospitalet and Hospital Sociosanitari de l'Hospitalet have been awarded the Best Spanish Hospitals Awards in the Nervous System area.
To determine the winners of the different categories they were analyzed more than 230 indicators of efficiency, adequacy and quality of care. A total of 80 public and private Spanish hospitals they had been presented at the first edition of these awards organized by the health consultancy Higia Benchmarking and the company Asho, which specializes in the coding of hospital discharges and outpatient processes. The Spanish Society of Health Directors (SEDISA) also collaborated.
The area of diagnosis of the nervous system involves the teamwork done by the Neurology Service and all the services that collaborate, such as that of Intensive Care medicine, Emergencies, Nurse and support services, as well as the Clinical Documentation Service.
The awards were presented by the Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Enrique Ruiz Escudero, in an event held last September 26 at the SEDISA headquarters in Madrid.
