Focus group of people with heart failure

The aim is to test the application before the pilot test starts and propose improvements

People with heart failure (HF), who are treated at the Hospital Sant Joan Despí Moisès Broggi, have participated in a focus group on the usability of the application Salutec@t. Salutec@t is one mobile app which allows telemonitoring through intelligent clinical questionnaires and personalized information (education and support for patients and caregivers) with the help of gamification, which seeks to improve the health and quality of life of the population, as well as the satisfaction of people with chronic diseases and adapt professional health interventions to the necessary moments.

Participants in the focus group highlighted “the content of the documentation is very useful" and that "the information provided is very good and the vocabulary used is sufficiently understandable". However, they have found difficulties with the word "biomeasures" and consider that it should be changed to "blood pressure parameters".

The Salutec@t project, carried out by the Consorci Sanitari Integral, in collaboration with the Catalan Institute of Health, is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund FEDER with the support of the Generalitat of Catalonia through of the Public Procurement of Health Innovation program.
