Units and benefits

Respiratory pathology: rhinoconjunctivitis and bronchial asthma
  • Skin tests (prick test) with pneuma allergens.
  • Functional respiratory tests: spirometry and bronchodilator test.
  • Corresponding analysis, with molecular diagnosis (recombinants, ALEX).
Food pathology: food allergy
  • Skin tests (prick test) with food.
  • Skin tests (prick by prick) with natural foods.
  • Oral tolerance test with food.
  • Corresponding analysis, with molecular diagnosis (ALEX).
Pathology due to drugs or medicines (reference service in Catalonia)
  • Skin tests (prick test and intradermal) with drugs.
  • Epicutaneous tests or patches with drugs.
  • Controlled tolerance test with drugs (oral, subcutaneous, parenteral).
  • Corresponding analysis, with tryptase, Ig E specific to penicillins.
Skin pathology: atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, chronic urticaria, angioedema.
  • Epicutaneous or patch tests with standard battery (GEIDAC).
  • Epicutaneous tests or patches with specialized batteries (dental, metals, cosmetics, corticosteroids, antiseptics).
Immunotherapy Unit
  • Administration of the beginnings of specific immunotherapy (IT) with allergens (vaccines).
  • Administration of risk immunotherapy (IT), for local or systemic reactions.
Day hospital: one afternoon per week, on Wednesdays, at Hospital de Sant Joan Despí
  • Treatments with biologicals in patients with severe asthma and severe chronic urticaria.
  • Hospital administration of immunotherapy with hymenoptera venom (bee, wasp).
  • Risk tolerance tests with drugs or food.
  • Desensitization tests with AAS, biological.

    Allergies to bee and wasp venoms, and treatment with venom immunotherapy.

    Treatment with biologicals in severe bronchial asthma and severe chronic urticaria.
