About the Observatory
The Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Service at Dos de Maig Hospital provides assistance and is a reference for all dental areas of the Comprehensive Health Area (AIS) of Barcelona Dreta, which includes 16 basic health areas (ABS ), mainly for chordal pathology in adults.

Units and benefits
External consultations
The Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Service attends two external consultations per week on Thursday and Friday mornings from 9 am to 13:30 pm.
Surgical activity
The following pathologies are treated:
- Wisdom teeth included
- Other dental inclusions
- Dental roots included
- Benign lesions of the oral mucosa
- Benign lesions of the gums
- Benign lesions of the tongue and lips
- Benign pathologies of the jaws (odontogenic cysts, benign tumors, etc.)
Any other pathology is referred to the Maxillofacial Surgery Service of the referring hospital.
