About the Observatory

The Pharmacy Service of the Moisès Broggi University Hospital Complex (Sant Joan Despí Hospital, Hospital Sociosanitari de l'Hospitalet and Hospital General de l'Hospitalet) is a general clinical service whose main objective is the safe use of medicines with maximum excellence

It acts as a support service for the care activity. It deals with covering the pharmacotherapeutic needs of the population through the selection, acquisition, preparation, control, dispensing and information of medicines so that they are used appropriately, based on safety, effectiveness and efficiency criteria derived from the scientific evidence. It shares, with the rest of the clinical services, the challenge of achieving the continuity of treatments at the different levels of care.
