The Neonatology area of ​​our center is intended to provide assistance to babies from birth until they go home with hospital discharge. Subsequently, babies who require it are also followed up at the area's own external consultations.

The Hospital General de l'Hospitalet has a Level II Neonatal Unit, capable of taking on babies over 32 weeks of gestation and weighing over 1,5 kg at birth. The attention is continuous 24 hours a day.

Neonatology professionals work together with obstetricians to carry out careful prenatal monitoring of high-risk pregnancies.

Neonatal care is focused on the family, with individualized and human-quality care, which respects the rights of babies and promotes the mother-baby bond.
